Question 16: I have some on-sale products. When I added them as Bought Together items to another product, I don’t want them to be double discounted. How can I prevent that?
Answer: You can change the “Pricing method” for Bought Together items on your site from the plugin settings. Please go to WPClever >> Bought Together >> in “Pricing method” option, choose “from Regular price” >> Update options. This feature was added since version 3.4.1, please make sure you have updated our plugin to this version or higher one to have this appear in the plugin settings.
Kindly clear both your site’s and browser’s caches & cookies after making the changes to make sure they’re properly applied.
By default, the WPC Frequently Bought Together plugin will calculate the prices of Bought Together items from their current prices, which means using the regular prices of normal products and the current sale price of discounted products. So the option “from Sale price” is chosen by default.
For example, in the back-end:

If you choose “from Regular price”, only on-sale products will be affected. Their prices will be recalculated from their original regular prices. This option is to prevent products from being discounted twice when they’re added as Bought Together items to other products.
